I am currently a senior at Eyuboğlu High School who is about to fly off to Amsterdam to pursue her dreams of studying the English language. Growing up, I was never a huge fan of publicspeaking, so writing became my way of communation with everyone, but most importantly; myself. It is rare that I get the courage to share my thoughts with people, so this TEDx event excites me to no end. I have found myself calling in talking about feminist and queer issues of the world, and one day hope to have a platform large enough so I can also encourage other people to answer their callings as well.

The Search For Meaning Through My Hair

Being born with curly hair, my hair has always been as unpredictable as my life. One day it would have beautiful and delicate curls, and the next day it would be so frizzy you could count every single strand. Though the unpredictability of my life used to be pleasent in middle and elementary school, as I am now a senior, it is starting to scare me. I have no idea what to expect for thr next 4 years of my life, and I am hoping my big hair full of secrets can provide me with an answer to the question: ""What am I doing here?""
