My grandfather’s story
Leaving a city or country full of problems might seem like an ideal escape at first, but there are plenty of struggles: adjusting to a new lifestyle, dealing with discrimination, working twice as hard as others because of the difference in opportunities, leaving your homeland... the list goes on. At a crossroads, there are two options, like staying and going, but sometimes it’s both of these things at the same time.

I’m a curious, outspoken girl. I learned to read and write when I was three and ever since then I am constantly either reading, writing or speaking. I like to share my opinions in a detailed, correct way and chances like this event excite me. I am also very passionate about speaking about important problems as inequality, racism, sexism, pollution, bullying and all kinds of global issues. I like listening to and producing music, reading and spending time with family and friends. I hope someday I’ll have a platform where I can empower people and speak about important things and make a difference in the world.
