Nano in my world: Too small to see, too big to ignore
This talk will provide an understanding of the fundamentals of nanotechnology and raise awareness of the use of nanotechnology products to become responsible citizens and perhaps future scientists.
Sevil Akaygün
Assoc. Prof. Sevil Akaygun started her career as a chemistry teacher for 12 years. She received her master's degree in Science Education from Boğaziçi University (2000), her master's degree in chemistry (2008) and PhD in chemical education (2009) from University of Northern Colorado. In 2010, she joined the faculty of Boğaziçi University, Department of Mathematics and Science Education. Her research interests include visualizations in chemistry education, STEM education and nanotechnology education. Dr. Akaygun has coordinated various national and international research projects, given seminars and workshops to STEM teachers.
