The Perfect Imperfection of Being a Human
We are living in a world shaped by algorithms designed to serve us perfectly. With AI, perfection is no longer extraordinary. What used to be extraordinary is now the bare minimum, and without realizing it, the way we evaluate ourselves has shifted. She says, ‘For me, this was personal. I have always been a perfectionist, holding myself to high standards. But over time, with the frequent usage of algorithms such as AI results, those standards were no longer realistic. They became impossible. I started doubting my own work, even things I had spent an excessively long time doing, because nothing felt “enough” anymore. As I was getting professional help, I realized it wasn’t me. I wasn’t lacking effort but I was comparing myself to something that isn’t even human. And that changes everything. Mistakes stop being part of growth and start feeling like something to avoid. But imperfection was never the problem. It’s actually the most honest fact of being human.’
